Chris Carlins - AutomaTech, Inc.

Chris is a Solutions Consultant at AutomaTech focused on the GE Plant Applications Solutions.  His role is to cover all technical aspects of the solution including training, support, sales and services.  Chris has been involved in several onsite assessments and other initiatives to help customers architect solutions that take advantage of the software’s powerful features. He has worked with many of our food and beverage customers to implement solutions to ensure food safety and performance improvements. 

Kathleen Wybourn - Director of Food & Beverage – DNV Business Assurance

Kathleen Wybourn joined DNV in 2008 as Director of Food & Beverage US and Canada. In her position, Kathleen leads all aspects of business development and technical resources in addition to being part of the DNV Business Assurance Leadership team. Under her leadership, DNV Business Assurance has enjoyed significant growth in food safety certification and training. Kathleen brings to her position a strong and passionate commitment to food safety and a clear understanding of the challenges facing various stakeholders. Kathleen has been an avid supporter for audit harmonization for many years to eliminate the redundancies caused by the proliferation of audits that plague the industry. Kathleen was the driving force behind a national study with Michigan State University on the readiness of the US market for food safety certification. Kathleen has published numerous articles regarding certification including; “Wal-Mart’s Magna Carta for Auditing”, “Navigating the Jungle of Food Safety Standards” and “First Look: GFSI adds a new FSSC22000 standard”. Kathleen routinely speaks at food safety and packaging conferences around the world and has served on numerous GFSI technical committees over the past five years including; the GFSI Benchmark team, Warehouse and Logistics and the most recently formed Retail and Wholesale technical working groups. Kathleen has provided input and review of the IFS Food Standard Version 6.

Beginning her career in food manufacturing, Kathleen held various management positions for the NutraSweet division of GD Searle/Monsanto where she first developed a fond interest for food safety. Over the course of 18 years with Monsanto, Kathleen managed analytical and microbiological labs, food safety and quality groups, operations, and supplier audits.

Kathleen graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor degree in Biology and Chemistry. Kathleen also has an MBA from Loyola University, Chicago with an emphasis in Operations Management.

Jeff Bartoletti - Business Leader, Manufacturing Food Safety GE Intelligent Platforms

As the Manufacturing Food Safety Business Leader at GE Intelligent Platforms, Jeff is responsible for setting the global strategy for the company’s Food & Beverage food safety software product portfolio capabilities, including all aspects of Sales, Marketing, & Product/Solution Development. He’s committed to helping companies address Food Safety challenges while driving maximum return on investment.

Bob Gates - Global Marketing Director – Manufacturing for GE Intelligent Platforms

Bob’s experience and career included various leadership positions at General Motors, Hoechst Celanese, Hoffman La Roche, and Pfizer. He helped these companies develop strategies for the appropriate use of technology to address their companies’ business needs in the areas of quality, supply chain, process, assemble and packaging.
